Canada 150 Flight 2017

… From far and wide …

Join the CANADA 150 celebrations for the Canadian Confederation Sesquicentennial Anniversary on July 1st, 2017

As part of the Canada 150 celebrations Bob Leroux intends to fly across Canada, and back, visiting at least 50 airports along the way carrying a Canada flag on the journey from coast to coast. Bob has had a career in aviation with Transport Canada as a Civil Aviation Inspector/Pilot and now, although retired, he still flies and is fortunate enough to own a Piper Turbo Arrow IV based at Abbotsford, British Columbia.   You can go on-line and follow his flights since the Piper Turbo Arrow is equipped with a GPS tracker, the Garmin/DeLorme inReach SE.

  1. An exciting trip for Canada 150 and your 50th year as an aviator! Looking forward to reading your blog and seeing your photos from this ‘Once In A Lifetime’ trip!

  2. We are less than 60 days away from our big day on July 1st. Plans are in place for beginning our journey in Victoria and heading east all the way across the country to St. John’s. We will be blogging and posting photos as we go to keep you up-to-date on our progress. Please follow along and feel free to add to the blog. Thanks for viewing and perhaps we will meet along the way.
    Bob and Val
